The WoodStock Living Labs are strategically spread across Europe to use the unique resources, knowledge, skills, and legal frameworks of each region. WoodStock organises six types of co-creation workshops, each addressing a different aspect of sustainable wood construction. Each of the six Living Labs will organise several co-creation workshops.
Belgian architecture students design building elements and furniture with reclaimed timber
Belgian architecture students have designed building elements and furniture, using reclaimed timber to build housing units for homeless youth. As part of the WoodStock project, this initiative fosters zero-waste innovation and sustainable design. Lore, one of the students, says: "This course has let us dive deeper into circular design and has addressed real-world challenges in the built environment.”

WoodStock and New European Bauhaus
The WoodStock project supports the New European Bauhaus (NEB). NEB is a European Commission policy and funding initiative that makes the green transition in built environments enjoyable, attractive and convenient for all. The initiative promotes solutions that are sustainable, inclusive and beautiful, and that respect the diversity of places, traditions, and cultures in Europe and beyond.
