First NEB Academy conference: knowledge, skills and innovation in sustainable construction

In February 2026, participants from across Europe joined the first New European Bauhaus Academy (NEBA) conference in Barcelona. The NEBA is the European Commission’s flagship initiative for knowledge exchange, skill development and innovation in the construction sector. 
The event was co-hosted by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, and WoodStock partners InnovaWood and the University of Primorska. It showcased the first achievements of the NEBA Alliance, including a network of regional training hubs, and pilot trainings for sustainable construction with wood and other biomaterials. Several NEB projects presented their innovative approaches to knowledge sharing, cultural inclusion, reconstruction, and urban transformation.
