WoodStock to launch grant call for SMEs
200.000 euros for climate-smart wood construction solutions
Transforming the construction sector requires forward-thinking solutions. WoodStock will launch a grant call in September 2026, supporting innovative climate-smart wood construction solutions that make better use of underutilised wood in Europe.
Through this call, four selected projects will each receive up to €50,000 to test, validate, and scale zero-waste wood construction solutions beyond TechRL5. The grants are open to SMEs, start-ups, non-profit organisations, or consortia led by one of these entities, established in an EU Member State or a country associated with Horizon Europe.
The call will officially open in September 2026 and close in December 2026 via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal. The detailed call document, including application guidelines and submission instructions, will be published shortly.
The WoodStock grants aim to support the use of underutilised wood streams — including hardwood, post-consumer and residual wood, low-quality wood, and damaged wood — while embedding the New European Bauhaus values of together, sustainable, and beautiful into practical construction solutions. Selected projects will contribute to activating the European wood construction market and demonstrating the feasibility and scalability of circular approaches across the value chain.
Eligible activities can include demonstration, testing, co-creation, training, and dissemination actions that support the scaling of zero-waste wood construction solutions.
WoodStock encourages professionals from architecture, design, forestry, wood industries, construction, and green building sectors to stay tuned and start preparing.
